Sweet Dreams! (or A Well Placed Alien Abduction Can Be a Good Thing!)

First and foremost, we might have found our acreage at last. It's a bit farther out than we were hoping for, and we'll have a LOT of yard work ahead of us. (Not to mention the clearing of many a tree for a barn and paddock.) But it's going to be worth it.

Just got a phone call ... we are presentling an offer for the acreage. Jade says that somebody else is also presenting an offer and ther may be a small bidding war, but, well, we'll see what happens. Cross your fingers, light a candle, think happy thoughts ... whatever. Any help is good help - it's just hard to find!

Only a month and a half to go with Thoroughbreds, and then I can relax. And play D&D! *wails* I wanna play it now!!!!

If anybody from the standardbreds calls and asks for my help, then by all means, I'll be happy to work the Fall Meet, but I have little to no intention of working through the winter. I'm not big on driving on the highway in winter and I'll be damned if I'll brave it just to face more bullshit from the people I work for and with. Not. Jade is perfectly happy to have me stay home and work on my stuff and keep his mom company if she needs it. Besides, if she happens to fall or something, then at least I'll be there to hear.

Or I may be out making a snowman ...who knows?

My mom keeps sending me her own input on the houses we should look at. She's not looking anywhere that we haven't looked, but she does manage to send us the strangest choices. Today was a two bedroom house with one bath ... only 1098 sq ft ...
Is she trying to get me killed? Or helping me to inherit faster? You can't squish two couples into a place like that! Especially when the other couple is Jade's parents!!

The other property that she sent today was for a shop. No beds, no baths, on .53 acres. Now what the heck is going through that poor woman's mind? Sludge, I think. Somebody turn the hose on her!

Hmmm ... things must have gone well ... somebody is coming to pick me up! Whoop!

Sweet Dreams!

  1. The thing to ask yourself is ... can you live with it? Is this something that can be fixed down the road or will it have to be done NOW and will it be expensive? This can bring down the asking price if you are really keen on the property.

Go Scottish on them ... they just can't handle it! LOL!
