Yesterday was my first afternoon off in six days. I was exhasted. Still am really. I tried to stay awake during the afternoon so that I could get things done, thinking, in error, that just being home without worrying about going back was restful enough.
As I said, this was an error in my judgement. I passed out in the living room for about an hour, I think. Giving in to the inevitable, I went to bed for a nap. Typically, this is when everybody in the world tries to call. Two of those phone calls weren't even for me. One was for a previous tenant (how they got MY number is byond me) and the other was for Lynne. Using such an old version of her name that it shocked me that they were still looking for her.
Perhaps it's time to change my phone number. I've had this one for about 10 years ... maybe longer. You'd think I wouldn't be getting wacko phone calls anymore.
I have to get ready for work. Gah ... my head still feels like it's fuzzy. Not the comfortable kind either. Not much longer now though. The meet is almost over.

I've been thinking and I've come to the conclusion that moving to an acreage makes me feel old. I thought it would be fairly simple; I've lieved on a farm before. No problem. There should be no surprises, really.
Wrong.
I'f forgotten how has happened to our little world since I've been off the farm. How city-slickered I've become. It never occured to me to wonder about, say, computer connections ... There wasn't any such thing when I was little. I'm pretty sure that the World Wide Web wasn't even yet a Science Fiction fantasy. We didn't have cable either. Who wanted to stay inside and watch TV?
*sigh* Yup, there will be some adjusting.
In other news ... Jade keeps bringing the flyers in a putting them on my desk. I keep giving him crap for it and he says that if he throws them out, he'll get in trouble because I'll want to see them and if he doesn't, he'll get in crap anyway. So he puts them on my desk so that Ican pull out the ones I want and I might not give him so much crap.
Drat. He's on to me.
So I pulled out the flyer from Babies R Us and told him that I'd punish him by reading this one. Who says I can't think fast?
Heh. Yeah, it's only a little evil.
So, Elohelae, here's the update you requested. I had just been thinking to myself that you might say something like that after the nagging I've been doing for yours. On the other hand, I'm not the wee pout worm who told everybody that I was planning on posting "tonight" ... and didn't. Tell me what your name means, man, or I'll be tempting to shorten it to "Elly" ... and that's none so manly sounding. *LOL*
Ooh ... Fisher price still has?/isbringing back? the old toys from when Iwas a baby! Now my kid(s) will have the same Chatter Phone that I had as a kid! And a Corn Popper, and a Rock-a-stack! See'n'Say Farmer Says ... that could be useful.
I need a new flyer.
Sweet Dreams!
